Completed Projects

Sitka Pacific High School
$2.1M - This contract was awarded to us by the City and Borough of Sitka to reconstruct the local special-needs high school. This project was completed 3 months ahead of schedule and exceeded the expectations of the Sitka School District.

Klawock School Gym Structural Improvements
$1.29M – As contracted by the Klawock City School District, we removed the existing wood frame gym floor and constructed a wood frame floor structure which was supported by helical piers. We also provided electrical and mechanical updates and had a new wood athletic floor system installed.

University of Alaska Anchorage Kachemak Bay Campus Reroof
$493K – The contract was awarded to us by the University of Alaska Anchorage to reroof the campus located in Homer, AK. This included removing the existing 2:12 sloped metal roof panels and providing new fire barriers, wood framing, sprayed foam insulation, ventilation, new metal panels, eaves and rake fascias, and headwalls.

Cold Bay Housing Renovation
$820K – This contract was awarded to us by the State of Alaska Department of Transportation to provide all for work on 6 houses that are 1,308 sq. ft. each. Work was performed under extreme conditions as we faced gale force winds and significant amounts of rain.

Northern Enterprises Boat House
After an unfortunate fire to their previous building, Northern Enterprises Boat Yard contracted us to build a 12,100 sq. ft. boat house to replace their previous one. We worked closely with the owner starting with the design process and completed it in time for their busy season.

Kevin Bell Hockey Arena
$2.5M - Part of the funding for this project required a completion date of April 2005, in time for the Arctic Winter Games. The ice floor needed to be functional within 5 months from the beginning of the project. The 26,000 sq. ft. metal building was erected and finished throughout the winter months on schedule and in time for its intended use.

Kachemak Shellfish Growers Co-Op
Located on the Homer Spit, the two story building sits on a steel piling foundation at the water’s edge with up to 30 ft. of tide movement within a 24 hour period. High winds, blowing rain, and snow are factors that were taken into consideration when design and selection of materials was taking place.

Chenega Bay Health Clinic
$900K – This Alaskan Native community is located in the heart of Prince William Sound and this area experiences large amounts of rainfall particularly in the fall months. This required additional effort to dry out the building before the interior was completed.

Nanwalek Public Health Building
$2M – The final design and location of the building was decided after the major excavation work was completed. The location was determined due to bedrock limitation, sewer elevation, right of way requirements, and emergency vehicle turning area requirements.

Seldovia Village Tribe Health Center
$1.7M – The project owner wanted extensive input into the design of this project. They had specific requirements as to both office and patient care spaces and had in mind the levels of finishes for the building, both interior and exterior.

Homer Courthouse Addition & Remodel
$1.4M – This design/build project involved a complete remodel of the 4000 sq. ft. existing Courthouse and 4000 sq ft. addition to include an additional courtroom and new offices. Construction took place during the winter months, without disrupting the ongoing business court system.

Printworks Office & Warehouse Building
The needs of the project owner included a large printing area, retail office space, and a housing unit above. Beginning with a concrete foundation, a Miracle Truss building worked well to accommodate the variety of uses for the building and allowed for a limited budget.

Heritage Development Office Building & RV Park Expansion
English Bay Corporation wished to expand their RV parking and support facilities to accommodate the larger motor homes arriving in Homer. A 3,000 sq. ft. office building was jointly designed and engineered to meet the needs of adding 30 RV parking hookups. The existing shower and laundry facilities were completely upgraded and worked into the overall plan for the property.

Yakutat Power Plant Building
$420K – This 3,600 sq. ft. steel building was constructed for the Alaska Energy Authority in Yakutat, AK. Construction took place under extreme weather conditions as we experienced heavy rainfall for a significant duration of the project.
